We provide help to people aged 18 and over living in Havering who have a learning disability through the Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT)​​

This includes people who have:

  • physical and/or sensory disabilities
  • speech and language difficulties
  • difficulties​ in social functioning 
  • concurrent mental health problems
  • challenging behaviour
  • epilepsy​

The CLDT is a joint health and social services team and offers adults with a learning disability and their carers advice, information and support.

The team is also responsible for: care planning assessment specialist health care purchasing of appropriate care packages.

The team consists of:

  • team manager
  • social workers
  • community learning disability nurses
  • psychologists
  • speech and language therapists
  • physiotherapists
  • psychiatrists
  • consultant psychiatrists
  • business support team
  • art therapists
  • occupational therapists
