Arts in Havering

Havering's year round programme of arts and entertainment, includes events, concerts and activities at Fairkytes Arts Centre, music tuition at Havering Music School, performances at the Queens Theatre and numerous outdoor arts festivals and exhibitions.

Fairkytes Arts Centre and Fairkytes Live

Fairkytes Arts Centre is a friendly community arts centre based in the heart of Hornchurch. It offers a wide range of arts, crafts and performance activities for adults and children as well as regular concerts under the Fairkytes Live banner, including opportunities for local talent to perform.

Rooms, studios and performance spaces are available for hire and Fairkytes hosts a large number of clubs and societies. There is also a craft gallery and shop selling work created by local craftspeople.

Exhibitions

Regular exhibitions are held at the following venues:

  • Fairkytes Arts Centre
  • Queens's Theatre
  • Hornchurch and Upminster Libraries
  • Brentwood Road Gallery

Children’s after school crafts classes

Creative workshops where children explore and learn skills such as drawing studies, perspective, basic colour work.
