If you want to use a premises for a civil marriage or partnership ceremony you must have a licence.
Licensing is a way for us to make sure that premises are safe and appropriate.
Premises venue approval
- Premises need to be approved as a venue for marriages in pursuance of Section 26(1)(bb) of the Marriage Act 1949
- Premises need to be approved as a venue for civil partnerships in pursuance of Section 6(3A)(a) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004
