Copy certificates
You can order copies of certificates for births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships that took place and were registered in Havering by using our online service.
If you need to register a new birth, you must book an appointment online.
For marriage and civil partnership certificates we cannot provide a copy certificate until 7 days after the registration date.
For ceremonies held in a church or religious building you can only order your certificate once we receive your signed and witnessed marriage/civil partnership schedule or marriage document.
Certificate fees
Copies of certificates cost £12.50 each. This does not include postage. You can order up to 10 certificates.
All certificates issued will be the full standard certificates.
We will search for the original certificate in our records and contact you with an update on your order.
You can choose to collect your certificates from the Register Office at Langtons House or have them delivered by post when you submit your order online.
Fees are non-refundable if we have carried out a search and do not hold the record you are looking for.
Delivery services and fees
We process standard orders in 10 to 14 working days. This could take slightly longer if demand is high.
If you need a copy of your certificate urgently, you can use our priority service.
The priority service does not include delivery times.
Havering Registration Service is not responsible for any delay, loss or damage to certificates posted using Royal Mail services.
We are unable to post certificates overseas. If you need to order a certificate to be posted to an address overseas, please visit the GRO website.

Births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships outside Havering
If you were born in Rush Green Hospital, you must order a copy of your birth certificate from the Barking and Dagenham Register Office.
If you need a copy of a certificate for a birth, death, marriage or civil partnership that took place outside of Havering, you need to contact that local authority or order a copy certificate from the General Register Office.
We are unable to provide adoption certificates. If you need an adoption certificate, you can order one by visiting the General Register Office website.
