Our sports and physical activities
Whatever your age, size or ability, getting active is a great way to:
- meet new people and have fun
- improve your flexibility, strength, stamina and balance
- increase your energy levels
- feel better about yourself
- manage your weight and stress
- manage and prevent medical conditions such as type II diabetes
Our main work areas are:
- Havering Active
- Dance Programme for Adults
- London Youth Games
- Youth sport (ages 11-25)
- Sport and physical activity for disabled people
- Physical Activity Referral Scheme (PARS)
- Cycling in Havering
- Wellbeing walks
- Walking for Health Programme (via the Ramblers website)

Quest Accreditation
Quest is the UK Quality Scheme for Sport and Leisure, a national accreditation scheme for leisure centres and Sports Development teams based on continuous improvement.
Quest defines industry standards and good practice and encourages their ongoing development and delivery within a customer focussed management framework.
The Havering Health and Sports Development team has been Quest accredited since 2009 and are currently rated as 'Good'.
