The Romford Masterplan, the comprehensive vision for the future development and regeneration of Romford Town Centre, was formally adopted at last night’s Cabinet meeting, Wednesday 12 March 2025.

It will now be an adopted Supplementary Planning Document that will be applied when determining applications within the town centre.

Councillor Graham Williamson, Cabinet Member for Development and Regeneration, said:

“The adoption of the Romford Masterplan will help pave the way for new homes, significant investment and development projects that will benefit the local economy, and enhance the quality of life for residents, whilst continuing to protect the character and history of the town centre.

“I would like to thank residents and stakeholders for helping to shape our masterplan; to make it a robust vision for the future of Romford.”
