People living and working in the borough are invited to build relationships
Havering Council is hosting its next Community Cohesion event tomorrow night (Tuesday, 26 March) to discuss how we can continue to build relationships through issues affecting the community.
People living and working in Havering are being urged to join the One Havering Community Cohesion Strategy discussion in Havering Town Hall, Romford, (6pm to 8pm).
One Havering was launched in January to bring together diverse groups in a bid to foster good relations between local individuals, faith groups, the voluntary sector, charities and other groups.
Councillor Viddy Persaud, Cabinet Member for Public Protection and Safety, said:
“Community cohesion has never been more important and this is an opportunity for local people to get involved in developing projects that will help make our borough a happier, healthier and safer place for everybody. I look forward to welcoming residents and listening to their ideas. Most of all, I look forward to their active participation.”
The agenda will provide an opportunity to discuss community concerns about crime, the Commonwealth and a presentation from Havering Youth Council.
