Havering Council has launched a public consultation that will give residents the opportunity to provide their views and feedback on the Havering Local Plan.
The Havering Plan is a guide to development in the borough until 2031 and sets out the strategy for our growth and improvement for the local economy, housing, transport and environment over the next 12 years.
Examination hearings took place in October 2018 and May 2019 and the Planning Inspector has now proposed some changes known as ‘Further Main Modifications’.
The consultation runs until 26 August 2021 and will gather further opinions the Inspector has asked for, focusing in more detail on the borough’s proposed plans for housing and parking.
Councillor Damian White, Leader of Havering Council, said:
“Our new Local Plan will have a key role in shaping the borough’s future.
“This consultation on the ‘Further Main Modifications’ to the Local Plan offers residents the final opportunity, as the people who live and work here, to give their feedback and I encourage everyone to take part.”
