On 8 September 2022 Buckingham Palace announced the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The state funeral will be on 19 September 2022. That day has been marked as a bank holiday.
As a mark of respect, we join the rest of the UK to mourn her passing.
Our flags will fly at half-mast (which protocol states is a third of the way down) for the period of mourning. They will be raised again temporarily for the proclamation process from 11am on 10 September to 1pm on 11 September 2022.

When laying flowers, please remove any wrappers from them.
Flowers can be laid at the Floral Crowns at these locations.

It is not safe to place flowers by the Floral Crown at Collier Row roundabout. Please take any floral tributes to Harold Hill Library instead.
