If you need to find a specialist provider to remove hazardous waste, please contact the City of London or the The Environment Agency for information, or alternatively use the Yellow Pages.
Always check with the Environment Agency that the company is correctly licensed.
Hazardous waste items include:
- asbestos
- chemicals (eg brake fluid or print toner)
- batteries
- solvents
- pesticides
- inedible oils (eg car oil)
- equipment containing ozone depleting substances (eg fridges)
- hazardous waste containers
- petrol
