Health and safety enforcement is split between two authorities - Public protection departments of local authorities and the Health and Safety Executive.

Doctors, dentists, pharmacies and hospitals

The health authority have an information shop that provides free and confidential information on aspects of health care and services available.

The type of care relates to GPs, pharmacists, hospital services, clinics and illnesses. It also includes a database listing voluntary organisations and self help groups both locally and nationally. This service is not for illness diagnosis or counselling but can give useful contacts.
