Tennis court refurbishment

Haynes Park and Harold Wood park tennis courts are now re-opened following refurbishment work as part of the Council’s partnership with the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association).

Improvements to courts across various parks in the borough have been carried out across the summer and include resurfacing and replacing fencing where necessary.

There is still repainting and lining of the courts to be finished, but temporary lines have been marked in the meantime.

Work is still ongoing in other courts with Lodge Farm Park and Raphael Park set to re-open from mid-December. New gates will also be installed at all sites including Spring Farm Park, Harrow Lodge Park, Hylands Park, Upminster Park and Rise Park.

Once the gate access system is in place, it will allow users to book online via the LTA ‘Clubspark’ website. This along with the overall management of the courts will be with an external operator expected in spring 2024.

In the meantime, there will be no change to the way the courts can be accessed.
