Licence review for business selling alcohol to Under-18s
A Havering business will have its licence reviewed after staff there sold alcohol to a young person aged under 18.
Enforcement to help make fireworks night sparkle safely
Havering Council’s licensing and trading standards team have been out across the borough to check that local retailers are not selling fireworks to young people aged under 18.
Rogue builder nailed for fraud
A rogue builder has been prosecuted following a joint operation between Havering Council’s Trading Standards team and local Police.
Shoplifter banned
A serial shoplifter has been banned from areas of Elm Park, following joint action by Havering Council and the Police.

From October to December 2024, our environmental enforcement team:
- received 1,196 reports of fly tipping
- carried out 861 investigations
- issued 221 Fixed Penalty Notices
- achieved 3 successful prosecutions in that time, with fines totalling over £5,000
